Forrest Imp

Here are a personal project I've been working on.

By complete coincidence, I found this on the web just days before putting the final touches on to the mini.

Fingolfin

Here is a sculpture of the great elven king, Fingolfin. Fingolfin is one of the more memorable characters from JRR Tolkien's "Silmarilion".
For the armor design, I took a "little" inspiration from The Lord of the Rings concept artist, Warren Mahy.  Warren designed the High Elf armor as seen in the Fellowship of the Ring.

No... there is another...

Here's another Star Wars character...
I like with the way the silhouette retains visual interest even when the miniature is rotated.

"Old Ben Kenobi"

Here is one of my early sculpting attempts from 2006.

I sculpted him around the same time I wrote a 76 page rulebook for a Star Wars miniatures line. The rules I came up for it had a lot of inspiration from the Warhammer 40K and LOTR gaming systems.

I still can't believe how much of a fanboy I was back then...

Here are a few pages of my 76 page Star Wars rule book.

Golden Demon entrees

Hello and welcome to my sculpting blog.

To start things off, here are a few old Golden Demon entries of mine;

"The Curse of Immortality"
I entered this into Golden Demon 2008.  It started life as a dead marshes elf from the ballista pack which I converted by re-sculpting the cloak, tunic, hands and face.

This is a dragon which I re-sculpted to some degree to infuse a more dramatic attitude than the original.  It got into the finals of the Lord of the Rings single miniature at Golden Demon UK 2007.

Here is one of my early Golden Demon entrees. This was entered into the duel category at the 2006 Golden Demon when I was 15.  I re-modelled the characters to suit the composition I was looking for. I think my lack of experience in greenstuff is clearly apparent in these early sculpts.

Old Work

Here is some of my ealiest sculpting work.  Most of this work was produced in 2005.

This is the "Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog" as featured in the Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Naturally, I made up some rules for the miniature, as featured below.

I enjoyed wargaming to such a degree, I even made a miniature of myself so that I could literally fight alongside my men!  I still own that jacket.
